In Fresno, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across California on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Annesso Pizzeria in Fresno delivers an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. We stopped by early on a Saturday afternoon and were impressed by the vibrant atmosphere, top-tier food, and flawless service. We kicked off our meal with the Burrata cheese and roasted tomato appetizer. The rich, creamy burrata paired with the perfectly charred, sweet roasted tomatoes was an absolute highlightβ€”fresh, beautifully balanced, and the ultimate way to set the stage for our meal. For our main course, we sampled three distinct signature pies: Cacio e Pepe: Brought all the comforting, peppery, cheesy goodness of the classic pasta dish onto a beautifully blistered crust, with just a hint of citrus to brighten the dish. Sweet Corn: Featured a rich combination of sweet corn, creamy goat cheese, caramelized onions, and a subtle kick of chili oil. Be adventurous try it! Verdi: Packed with vibrant flavor from spinach, artichokes, mushrooms, olives, and garlic. Fresh & robust flavors. What made the visit truly stand out, though, was our server, Adam. He was incredibly professional, warm, and fast, keeping our table well cared for without ever making us feel rushed. Annesso Pizzeria

What a great place. Service is extremely fast and friendly. Everything we ordered was quite good. The burrata was perfect and we especially liked the margarita pizza and Caesar salad. The cocktails were lovely- especially the firecracker. The ambience of the restaurant is relaxed and unpretentious. Definitely recommend this place.

Top notch pizza, especially for Fresno. Meatballs were also really good but the polenta was a kinda soggy. I'll go back though, considering my options. Cocktails were also pretty tops. So they got that going for them... which is nice.

Our server Sierra was amazing! It was mine and my bf first time and she explained the menu items perfectly and made great recommendations. She was honestly so nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yesterday my fiancΓ© and I had a date night & planned dinner and a movie. When we arrived, it was pretty packed (which is normal for a Saturday evening). The host informed us of the 40 minute wait, which we contemplated because our movie start time. While we chatted amongst ourselves about time, she informed us that a reservation for two had actually just canceled and we could be seated there instead. Side note, the host was so polite and kind right off the bat. Our server was Sam and she was incredible, and so nice. Food was amazing as always. We had the parm fries, Verdi pizza & the special sunchoke and Kale pizza. Overall a wonderful experience.
